Dr. Scott Cowie

Dr. Cowie is a clinical associate professor in the UBC Division of Surgery. He has several administrative roles, including Co-Chair of the Fraser Health GI Council, Medical Director at New Westminster Surgical Centre, FHA Regional Division Head of General Surgery, and Vice-President of Consultant Specialists of BC. He was also the former lead of the FHA colon screening program and is the Past-President of the General Surgeons of British Columbia.

Dr. Michael GoodwinDr. Goodwin began at Langley in 2014. He is the surgical lead for the Enhanced Recovery after Surgery program at Langley. He holds a Diploma in Global Health from the London School of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene, and has worked in Rwanda and Zambia providing surgical care.

He holds a Diploma in Global Health from the London School of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene, and has worked in Rwanda and Zambia providing surgical care.

Dr. Sarah LordDr. Lord was recruited to Langley in 2017. She holds a Fellowship in Trauma and Acute Care Surgery. She is an active Advanced Trauma Life Support instructor, teaching these life-saving skills to professionals across the province. She has family roots in the Langley community.

Dr. Lan VuDr. Vu arrived at Langley in 2013. He received a fellowship in Advanced Laparoscopic and Bariatric Surgery following his general surgery training. He performs advanced foregut as well as laparoscopic inguinal hernia surgery at Langley.

Dr. Vivian Ma

Dr. Ma joined Langley in 2024. She has an advanced fellowship in minimally invasive surgery. Dr. Ma specializes in complex hernia repairs, including laparoscopic techniques, and coordinates the surgical residency program at Langley.
